Modrá Hůrka: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The landscape around Modrá Hůrka is intensively used for agriculture and is characterized by large blocks of arable land. The nearby hills include Bučí [Modrá Hůrka], Březí [Žimutice-Pořežany], and U Doktorova lomu [Hluboká nad Vltavou-Líšnice u Kostelce]. Culture

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary stands in Modrá Hůrka. It was originally a Gothic church from the first half of the 14th century and was later remodelled in the Renaissance style and, around 1744, in the Baroque style. Opposite the church stands a stately Baroque rectory, locally called “zámeček”, which was remodelled in 1701. The village is also home to an old bell from the last quarter of the 15th century.
