Nature

Kukle Nature Park stretches along the left bank of the Lužnice in the area bordered by Dobřejice, Třebelice and Dobronice u Bechyně. It includes the extensive Kukle and Potálov woodland complexes, which are connected with the course of the Lužnice and its left-bank tributaries – the Dobřejický, Od Kukle and Třebelický streams. The slopes of the river and stream valleys in Kukle Nature Park are geomorphologically and floristically significant natural phenomena.

The Na Vrších hill (Malšice-Dobřejice) is located in the immediate vicinity of Dobřejice; the Ulčí vrch and Smrčí hills are also situated nearby. Obora is a mountain in the wider regional surroundings of Dobřejice.

Trails

The yellow hiking trail leads from Malšice westwards via Dobřejice to Stádlecký most and onwards through Stádlec. Cycle Route No. 31 runs through Dobřejice, at Stádlecký most and through Stádlec, continuing towards Bernartice; Stádlecký most is also accessible to cyclists. As a structure, Stádlecký most is a unique technical monument and the last surviving Empire-style bridge in the Czech Republic. It was relocated from the Vltava to the Lužnice and is situated on the road between Dobřejice and Stádlec.

Culture and history

The Dobřejice–V Kukle archaeological site comprises burial mounds from the Bronze Age and the Hallstatt period and bears the designation ÚSKP 3-5171.

Dobronice III, IV is an early medieval burial mound field. Visible ditches are present around most of the burial mounds; the mounds are arranged in three rows from west to east.

Zvíkov Castle is a castle in the wider regional surroundings of Dobřejice. Svatá Anna is a church in the vicinity of Dobřejice; Svatý Jan is a church in the wider regional surroundings of Dobřejice.
