Klenovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Klenovice has a clear connection to the Lužnice Cycle Route: according to the signposting, the route runs through the cadastral area of the municipality. The more than 160-kilometre-long cycle route leads from České Velenice to Týn nad Vltavou.

The mountains Hora, Hůrka and Podstupský vrch lie in the surroundings of Klenovice. The U Skalek hill is located in the immediate vicinity of Klenovice.

Culture and History

The Klenovice war memorial was erected in 1926 and moved in the 1960s to the municipal garden opposite House No. 2, near the municipal office. The names as well as the birth and death dates of fallen men are recorded there; photographs of twelve of them are set into the polished marble.

According to local tradition, the Na příčných stone is associated with the alleged burial of Swedish soldiers from the Thirty Years' War. In Klenovice near Soběslav, an educational trail or independent information panels in the area around the Lužnice provide information about the history of existing and vanished places within the municipality.
