Pfaffendorf: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The administrative area of the municipality of Hlincová Hora is home to archaeological sites and monuments associated with silver mining. The Dvůr Lusteneck farmstead has been preserved in its original form to this day and is considered an important witness to turbulent times.

Culture and History

Traces of artificial drainage ditches from earlier times can still be seen today in the Děkanské lesy forest. The information boards along the “Cesta kolem hornického města” educational trail provide a coherent account of the beginnings, development and decline of mining in the Rudolfov region.

Routes and Educational Trails

The regionally significant cycle route 1096 runs through the area of Hlincová Hora along the route Rudolfov – Mrhal Pond – Zvíkov – Vlkovice – Libín – Spolí – Domanín – Třeboň. The cycle path between Hlincová Hora and Rudolfov has a natural surface. Between Mrhal and Dubičné, a red-marked KČT hiking trail passes through Hlincová Hora.

The “Rudolfovo město” mining educational trail passes through the area of Hlincová Hora and partly follows the cycle path. At Pramen Pod Lustenkem, a footpath connects the two branches of this educational trail. The “Cesta kolem hornického města” educational trail can be followed from the cycle route via Rudolfov to Mrhal Pond.

Nature and Activities

Mrhal Pond and the adjacent forest complexes are used for day recreation. The unmarked local roads and paths in the area of Hlincová Hora are used by hikers, mountain bikers and horse riders; in good snow conditions, they are also suitable for cross-country skiers. Circular Route No. 1 is suitable for hiking and cycling.
