Unter Bukowsko: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
In the centre of Dolní Bukovsko stands the single-nave Early Gothic Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, dating from the period after 1260. It is located in the middle of the square; its surroundings form a former cemetery designed as a park. Gothic frescoes were uncovered and restored in the church.
History
The existence of the former fortress of Dolní Bukovsko is documented by a charter issued by Emperor Charles IV in 1349. The fortress fell into disrepair in the 15th century. Its remains were discovered in 1924; today, an island in the middle of the municipal pond and the name V Hradu are reminders of it.
