Friedberg: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
History and change can be explored together in one place at the Frymburk Museum. The museum is housed in a renovated building at Náměstí 5 and documents life in the region over the past centuries, as well as the profound transformation brought about by the construction of the Lipno Reservoir. The exhibits include, among other things, objects that disappeared beneath the reservoir’s waters.
Culture
The permanent exhibition at the Frymburk Museum includes prehistoric tools and various everyday objects dating from the 13th century to the present day. Another historical landmark is the Parish Church of St. Bartholomew in Frymburk. It was founded in 1277, was originally Early Gothic, and was completed in its present Late Gothic form in 1530.
Leisure
The Jezerní cycling route runs along the lake and leads from Frymburk via Lipno to Přední Výtoň. The section between Frymburk and Lipno is illuminated at night. The Jezerní inline skating trail is also suitable for beginners and children.
At Frymburk’s main beach, visitors can play pétanque, beach volleyball and nohejbal. Boats, pedal boats, paddleboards and sailing boats are also available for hire there.
In Frymburk Park, the Kubíkova educational trail includes a small zoo. Médi Kubíka Children’s Park features an 85-metre-long water giant slide.
