Člunek is part of the Česká Kanada Nature Park. The landscape around Člunek is characterized by forests and ponds. This nature park is also home to a historic narrow-gauge railway.

Nature

Near Člunek, the Krvavý a Kačležský rybník nature reserve is located within the Česká Kanada Nature Park. The core of the national nature monument consists of the Krvavý pond, covering 127 hectares, and the Kačležský pond, covering 176 hectares, as well as extensive, significant reed beds along the shores and adjacent wet meadows and peat meadows. The Krvavý a Kačležský rybník national nature monument protects natural wet forests, transitional mires, and reed beds along the shores.

In the Krvavý a Kačležský rybník national nature monument, no fires may be lit without the consent of the nature conservation authority; in addition, breeding birds in the shoreline vegetation must not be disturbed.

Things to Do

A marked cycling route runs through the area around Člunek. The marked cycling route continues via Kaproun to Zvůle. Swimming is possible at Klikovský pond.

Culture and History

The Church of Saint John of Nepomuk is a Baroque pilgrimage church. It was built on the site of a chapel dedicated to the Fourteen Holy Helpers, erected in 1705. The Church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Člunek dates from 1787. It stands on the crest of a small hill and can be accessed from the west across an open area.

The chapel in Lomy is a local historic cultural monument of the municipality of Člunek. Valuable examples of folk architecture have been preserved in Člunek. House No. 42 is a folk-architecture building from the first half of the 19th century. The valuable surviving folk-architecture buildings in Člunek include, among others, the farmsteads at house numbers 61 and 62; they are described as peasant Baroque buildings dating from 1823.
