Ckyne: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Čkyně, the historical trail begins at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene: it dates from the last quarter of the 13th century and features wall paintings in the presbytery, the oldest layer of which dates from 1330 to 1340. The Church of St. Mary Magdalene and its cemetery are registered as cultural monuments.

Culture and History

The history of the town also includes the Čkyně Synagogue, built in 1828 in a simple Classical style, and the Jewish Cemetery in Čkyně, established at the end of the 17th century. Thus, different examples of religious and Jewish history stand side by side in Čkyně.

Marked hiking trails lead from Čkyně to the Sudslavický Circuit and Mářský vrch. The Zlatá stezka (Volyňka) cycling route also passes through Čkyně. It is 47 km long, moderately difficult, and suitable for trekking bikes.
