Tojice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Tojice can be discovered through tangible evidence of its history, landscape, and movement. Small structures, memorial sites, and distinctive elevations give the place a varied character.

Culture

The “Chapel of St Lawrence” in Tojice was reconsecrated in August 2000. It has a polygonal floor plan and a pyramid-shaped roof with a sanctus bell turret carrying a bell.

On a rise above Tojice, where two country lanes meet, stands the cross known as the “1886 Cross”. According to eyewitnesses from the village, it commemorates a fatal accident involving a horse-drawn cart loaded with hay.

The memorial to the fallen of the First World War in Tojice was erected around 1920 and commemorates 10 citizens of Tojice. Its upper section bears a white-marble Czechoslovak coat of arms, the inscription “28. říjen”, and photographs of fallen soldiers.

Landscape

“(Dálky) [Třebčice]” is a hill in the immediate vicinity of Tojice. The mountains Buzrakov (Plánický hřeben) and Nad Moráskem are also located around the village.

In the wider regional surroundings of Tojice are the Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast ruins and Kněžský vrch mountain.

Outdoors

Tojice’s recreation garden includes a pebble path for foot massage. A signposted cycle path has run through Tojice since September.
