Borovy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Chapel of the Nativity of Our Lady in Borovy is a late Baroque building. It is the centre of the annual pilgrimage in Borovy.

Culture and History

Two historic granaries known as Špíchary have been preserved in Borovy; one of the two has been reconstructed. There are also three memorial plaques commemorating victims of the Second World War, visible from the road.

The Prokop Mill complex in Borovy includes a three-storey main mill building. Next to the main building of the Prokop Mill in Borovy stands a two-storey flour store dating from 1897. The Borovská lípa is a 19-metre-high memorial tree in Borovy.

Trails and Landscape

Borovy has forest and farm tracks as well as marked walking trails that allow visitors to cross the landscape. A 12 km-long marked hiking route begins at Borovy railway station and leads via Mezihoří to Švihov.

The KČT trail description recommends reaching Borovy railway station by train. Borovy is one of the municipalities along the priority long-distance cycle route CT 38; the route runs from Plzeň via Klatovy, Nýrsko and Železná Ruda.
