Culture

A distinctive feature of Slatina is the sundial: it consists of a four-metre-long, just under three-metre-high granite block weighing nine tonnes. Astrological signs are carved into the granite block.

The Chapel of St. Wenceslas in Slatina was built by the municipality of Slatina in 1865 for 300 gulden. The Baroque masonry niche chapel of St. Barbara “Na Hradcích” stands on a hill near a quarry on the left-hand side of the road to Chanovice and probably dates from the end of the 18th century. Several stone crosses are located in the cadastral area of Slatina.

The Slatina synagogue is a private building and is not open to visitors. It is listed among the state cultural monuments and bears registration number 37216/4-3287.
