Kvášňovice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The history of the Church of St Bartholomew in Kvášňovice includes a late Romanesque construction phase between 1240 and 1260 and a Baroque renovation between 1751 and 1768. On its southern side, it has a Romanesque entrance portal.

Culture

The history of the village also includes the Kvášňovice Volunteer Fire Brigade, which was founded in 1896. A monument to the fallen soldiers, unveiled in 1922, stands in front of the local church. The cemetery chapel in Kvášňovice is Neoclassical and was built in 1800.

North of the Church of St Bartholomew stands a statue of St John of Nepomuk. It dates from 1832 and was erected out of gratitude because an epidemic spared the village. The traditional Masopust festival in Kvášňovice includes a masked procession.

Kvášňovice also has a children’s playground and a table tennis table.

Nature

The Kvášňovická lípa is a protected memorial tree and was first designated on 26 May 1978. A protected large-leaved lime tree grows along the field road from Kvášňovice to Defurovy Lažany. It is 23 metres tall, has a trunk circumference of 383 centimetres, and is estimated to be 270 years old.
