Culture

The present-day Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Hradešice is a late Baroque building dating from 1772. It has been documented as a parish church since 1360. The original vault preserves remnants of Gothic frescoes.

The Chapel of Saint Anthony of Padua in Hradešice is one of the sacred and pilgrimage sites of the Diocese of České Budějovice. The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk dates from 1882.

The Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast ruin is also located in the wider regional surroundings of Hradešice.

Nature

A large part of the Hradešice municipal area lies within the Horažďovická pahorkatina Nature Park. At its edge, the Budětice Nature Park extends into the southern part of the municipal area.

Mount Svatobor is located in the vicinity of Hradešice. Mount Buzrakov (Plánický hřeben), Mount Vysoký and Mount Sedlo [Sušice-Albrechtice] are also located nearby.

Cycling Routes

Cycling Route 2075 runs through the Hradešice municipal area along the Budětice–Černíč–Hradešice–Smrkovec–Břežany route. Cycling Route 2077 also passes through the municipal area from Otěšín via Hradešice towards Malý Bor; it uses local roads and designated-purpose paths.

History

A special historical note is associated with the former U Panušků inn in Hradešice: In 1880, the innkeeper Karel Panuška was the first in Bohemia to introduce the production of Hungarian salami there.

Hradešice is located on Road No. 22 along the Horažďovice–Klatovy route.
