Culture and history

At the northern edge of Mířkov village square stands the Church of St. Vitus, a distinctive landmark of Mířkov. It has been documented in papal tithe registers since 1352; its present form dates from the 15th century.

Nature and trails

The Sedmihoří educational trail is a 10 km circular route that begins at the gamekeeper’s lodge “Miřkovská hájenka”. The Sedmihoří protected landscape area bordering Mířkov offers all-day hikes on well-maintained forest paths as well as terrain for more experienced hikers.

The yellow-marked KČT hiking trail 6653 leads from Horšovský Týn railway station to Mířkov. It passes the Mířkov ponds and continues in the direction of Pod Jedlovým vrchem.

Water and cycle route

There are numerous ponds in the vicinity of Mířkov that are suitable for swimming and fishing. The marked 20 km cycle route 2241 runs through Mířkov and into the Sedmihoří Nature Park.
