Pivon: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

At the southern edge of Pivoň is the former Augustinian monastery complex; it is a national cultural monument.

Culture

The monastery with the Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary was founded in the 13th century. The Early Gothic presbytery of the church is considered the oldest purely Gothic building known to date in the Czech lands.

Pivoň Monastery was reconstructed in 2024. The statue of Saint Cyriac in Pivoň is also designated as an immovable cultural monument.

Nature

Pivoň is located in the Český les Protected Landscape Area. Mount Škarmanka is situated in the immediate vicinity of Pivoň; the mountains Železný vrch, Jacklberg, and Kleeberg are located in the surrounding area of Pivoň.

“Pivoňské lípy I” is designated as a group of memorial trees. Cycle Route No. 2281 leads to Pivoň.
