Čermná: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Čermná is situated in a hilly landscape that slopes gently toward the southwest, at the foot of Křemele Hill, at an elevation of 430 to 455 metres above sea level. In the predominantly agricultural surroundings of Čermná, meadows, fields and bodies of water alternate.

Culture

Čermná is laid out on gently sloping terrain around a small village square with a chapel. The Chapel of the Apostles St John and Paul on the village square is a protected cultural monument. It was extensively renovated in 2001 and has a bell tower dating from 1897; in 1909, a wider nave was added to the original chapel.

Getting Around

Čermná has regular bus connections. A 14-kilometre KČT circular hiking route from Staňkov leads via the Lacembok castle ruins and the Křemel lookout tower to Čermná. On the outskirts of Čermná, at the entrance from Staňkov, there are a sports field and a children’s playground.

Leisure and Village Life

The wooden lookout tower on Křemel near Čermná is permanently accessible free of charge and offers views of the Český les and the Chudenická vrchovina hills. There is a shelter with a table and benches, a swing and other play equipment for children at the lookout tower. A nearby pond by Čermná is used for swimming and fishing. In Čermná, Masopust is one of the traditional community events.
