Bernartice was first mentioned in writing in 1577.

History

Until the first half of the 17th century, Bernartice belonged to the Boříkovy estate; later, the village became an independent estate. Magdalena Perglarová was the first owner of the independent Bernartice estate.

The first written mention of the Baroque Bernartice manor dates back to 1798. The Bernartice manor fell into disrepair because its successive owners did not live there. Baron Benard Kleis bought Bernartice in 1851; the village was subsequently incorporated into the Mlázovy estate. The exact location of the former Bernartice manor can no longer be determined today.

Culture

Nature

Úliště Mountain [Javor - Loučany] is located in the vicinity of Bernartice. Svatobor Mountain is located near Bernartice, as are Buzrakov Mountain (Plánický hřeben) and Vosík Mountain [Hartmanice-Javoříc].

LamaDorádo is a livestock farm in Bernartice specialising in llama breeding. Visitors can see the llamas at the LamaDorádo farm by prior arrangement.

Kolinec is the centre of a developing recreational area connected to a network of cycling and horse-riding trails. The Bayerwald-Tierpark Lohberg zoo is located in the wider region surrounding Bernartice.
