The Kakejcov protected area is both a natural monument and a European Site of Community Importance (SCI) for the protection of the great crested newt. The Kakejcov natural monument consists of a small forest pond, a cultivated meadow, and the edge of a forest. It protects the critically endangered great crested newt (Triturus cristatus).

Kakejcov is located along the route between Mirošov and Spálené Poříčí. Several marked hiking trails and an educational trail run through Kamínky Nature Park. The views in Kakejcov are considered particularly rewarding for cyclists.
