Chudenín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Chudenín originally developed as a Choden village at a border guard post on the Czech-Bavarian country road. The border crossings at Svatá Kateřina (Rittsteig) and Fleky (Hofberg) are nearby; they enable day trips to the Bavarian side of the border and vice versa.
History and Townscape
The local monuments in Chudenín have been restored since 1990. The Chapel of the Virgin Mary in Chudenín dates from 1834; its roof and façade were reconstructed in 1986. A commemorative lime tree stands next to the chapel.
Paths and Water
The 9 km-long cycle route 2050 leads from the Fleky–Hofberg border crossing via Chudenín to Nýrsko. Another cycle route runs along Chudenínský rybník; swimming is possible in Chudenínský rybník.
The educational trail “Through the Landscape beneath Medvědí kaplí” begins and ends in Chudenín. It is managed by the municipality of Chudenín and marked in cooperation with KČT.
