The historic Rýžoviště–sejpy site extends across the cadastral area of Hejná and bears witness to gold mining in prehistoric times and the Middle Ages. The circular trail around Kozník and Pučanka offers sweeping views of the Otava Valley. The Otava flows near Hejná and has a documented history of timber rafting.

The Pučanka Nature Reserve is located near Hejná. History and culture
On the Pahorek hill in Hejná stands a wayside shrine dedicated to Saint James. Hejná is home to a rectangular chapel dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk, dating from the 18th century and featuring a semicircular apse. The Church of St. James and St. Philip in Hejná is a Romanesque-Gothic church from the first half of the 13th century. The ruins of the Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast are located in the wider regional surroundings of Hejná.
