The Rzy bird park is located mostly within the municipalities of Dobříkov and Zámrsk and offers several spots for observing the water surface.

Culture and history

Since 1959, the Státní oblastní archiv Zámrsk has been located in Zámrsk Castle. People interested in archival research travel there from all over the Czech Republic and from abroad. The castle itself is normally not open to the public; however, concerts are regularly held in its square courtyard lined with arcades.

The Church of Saint Martin in Zámrsk is a Rococo church dating from 1782. It has an organ from 1910 that is in relatively good condition and is a venue for classical music concerts.

The east wing of Zámrsk Castle contains the remains of the original fortress, which was converted into a castle at the beginning of the 17th century. The former distillery and starch factory, originally a mill, with its millrace on the Loučná, as well as the Zámrsk railway station building, are also part of the historical and technical cultural heritage.

The former palm house in Zámecký park Zámrsk was built in 1843. The park is enclosed but accessible year-round.

Surroundings

Mount Strýc is located in the wider regional surroundings of Zámrsk. The mountains of Řetová and Jarošov are also located in the wider regional surroundings. Bučkův kopec hill [Slatina u Vysokého Mýta] is located in the immediate vicinity of Zámrsk.

Transport connections

The Prague–Česká Třebová–Olomouc main railway line runs through the cadastral area of the municipality of Zámrsk.
