Vojtěchov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Vojtěchov Lookout Tower was opened near Vojtěchov in July 2010. In clear weather, Kunětická hora, Sněžka and Králický Sněžník can be seen from there. It is open in April, May and June, as well as in September and October, on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; in July and August, it is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Landscape

Vojtěchov lies in the foothills of the Žďárské vrchy at an altitude of 528 metres. The part of Vojtěchov located south of road I/34 belongs to the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area. The area is predominantly characterised by forests; to a lesser extent, there are agricultural areas and meadows.

History

Vojtěchov was established in the second half of the 13th century during the reign of Přemysl Otakar II and his son Václav II. The first written mention dates from 1392. At the beginning of the 19th century, an Evangelical cemetery was established in Vojtěchov, and it is still in use. Traces of charcoal burners’ sites connected with the area’s historic ironworking industry are still preserved in the Pláňavy area.

Getting Around

Cycle Route 4122 passes through Vojtěchov. Vojtěchov railway station is located on railway line 238 between Pardubice and Havlíčkův Brod and is included in the IREDO integrated transport system.

Event

Vojtěchovské vinobraní VIII is scheduled to take place on 5 September 2026 from 5 p.m. at the Pod Kovárnou Vinotheque. The programme includes music and dancing; Frída Orator and the band Bipolární tranzistor will perform. Burčák, grilled pork knuckles, potato pancakes, homemade cakes and a wide selection of Moravian spirits will be available.
