In the village green of Týnišťko, a chapel with a bell tower stands in a park; it is a pseudo-Gothic building. The bell tower was built in 1838; following recent renovation work, the chapel was in good condition.

Culture and local history

In front of the chapel stands a stone cross on a four-sided sandstone pedestal; it is surrounded by a fence. The nearby memorial to the fallen is a sandstone monument featuring a relief of a soldier with a lion and the names of those honoured. The memorial to the people of Týnišťko who fell in the First World War was erected in 1923 with ten names and restored and renovated in 2004.

Rural homestead No. 8 is the only property in Týnišťko listed in the Czech Central Register of Cultural Monuments; it was given protected status in 2005. On the Loučná, at the south-eastern edge of Týnišťko’s built-up area, stands the building of the former mill, which now serves as a small hydroelectric power station.

Water and landscape

Týnišťko Pond, formerly also known as Leknínáč, is the only significant permanent body of water in the area concerned. It covers 0.94 hectares and lies approximately 300 m north-west of the centre of Týnišťko. A smaller part of the pond lies within NRBC 10 Uhersko, while the larger part lies within LBK 1. Parking motor vehicles on the pond dam is prohibited.

Cycling and hiking trails

Nationally designated cycle route 4237 runs through Týnišťko and leads via Uhersko, Trusnov, Radhošť, Dobříkov and Sruby between the Uhersko junction and the Sruby junction; the total distance is 15 km. A newly marked cycle route also runs through Týnišťko, connects the Holicko and Vysokomýtsko microregions, and links up with further routes in the surrounding regions.

A blue-marked hiking trail also passes through Týnišťko. It runs from Zámrsk railway station along the north-eastern edge of Týnišťko’s built-up area to Horní Jelení, where it branches.
