Rudoltice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Rudoltice combines the ruins of Nový zámek castle with the landscape of the Lanškrounské rybníky ponds. Nový zámek u Lanškrouna, known locally as Zámeček, lies between Rudoltice and Lanškroun. What remains of the extensive Baroque castle of the House of Liechtenstein is a single tower and extensive underground cellars.

At Rudoltice v Čechách railway station, there is step-free access to the station building and at least one platform.

Culture

The present-day Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Rudoltice was built between 1804 and 1809 using material from the burned-out Baroque Nový zámek on Zámecký vrch above Rudoltice. The annual pilgrimage to Saints Peter and Paul is celebrated on 29 June or the nearest Sunday.

The townscape also includes the Neoclassical Holy Trinity sculpture group. The Trinity sculpture, dating from 1802, follows the iconographic type known as the Throne of Mercy, probably comes from the Mielnický workshop in Žamberk, and is considered a high-quality work of stone sculpture. During a guided tour of the Nový zámek cellars, approximately 1,000 m² of the underground rooms are accessible.

Nature

The Lanškrounské rybníky Nature Park extends into the northern tip of Rudoltice’s cadastral area. In the vicinity of Rudoltice, there is an ornithological observation station at Dlouhý rybník. The Lanškrounské rybníky region is an important breeding area for waterfowl and an important stopover site for migratory birds.

Trails

The Fit stezka runs as an approximately 3-kilometre running and educational trail through municipal forests and includes four stations with strength and workout elements. It was completed in 2023. There is also an approximately 4.5-kilometre variant and an 8.5-kilometre variant that circles the Lanškrounské rybníky in a large figure eight. Cycling routes listed by the KČT include the Lanškroun–Rudoltice cycle path.
