Culture and Local History

Tisová can be explored through its distinctive landmarks and bodies of water. The Chapel of Saint Vojtěch is a cultural monument dating from 1775. In front of the chapel, a stone crucifix stands amid greenery; the village also has a branch church dedicated to Saint Vojtěch, bishop and martyr.

The local history includes several memorials. Tisová has a memorial to the victims of the First and Second World Wars. Tisová is also home to a memorial stone commemorating the writer Tobiáš Eliáš Tisovský, who was born there and whose memorial was unveiled by ECCE Tisová. In Kouty, the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk is one of Tisová’s cultural monuments.

Agricultural farmsteads with the square layout typical of large farm complexes have also survived only in part in Tisová.

Water and Landscape

There are three ponds directly in Tisová; the largest is the former manorial pond, now called Bačův rybník. Several waterways flow through the village: the Labíčko stream flows into the Labuťka in Tisová. The Sloupnický potok flows through Tisová, where the Labuťka flows into it.

Community Life and Events

The TJ Sokol Tisová association is active in sports and tourism and also focuses on educational and awareness-raising activities. A Christmas market organized by the Tisová primary and kindergarten school was announced for 7 December 2025 from 16:00 to 17:00 in the main hall of the community centre in Tisová; singing around the Christmas tree was then scheduled to take place there.
