History and Villagescape

The Church of St Martin stands in Turkovice. This early Gothic building was probably constructed in the 13th century. It is first mentioned in 1348 and stands on the south-eastern edge of Turkovice, in the present-day cemetery. The cemetery also contains a chapel belonging to the Pachtů z Rájova family, as well as gravestones set into the retaining wall.
