Culture

The brick, single-storey bell tower in Staré Jesenčany was built in 1890 and designated a cultural monument of local significance in 2013. In the village centre stands the Boží muka wayside cross, made of polished granite and consecrated in 1935. The war memorial is also located in the village centre, next to the municipal office.

The Church of Svatý Jiří is located in the vicinity of Staré Jesenčany, while Kačina Castle lies in the wider regional area. A wayside chapel is located west of Staré Jesenčany. It can be reached via a forest path that joins the road leading from the village green with its inn. A traditional witch-burning festival is also scheduled to take place in Staré Jesenčany in 2026.

Staré Jesenčany railway station is served by line 238 between Pardubice and Havlíčkův Brod. There is no ticket office at the station; tickets are sold on the train.
