Dubany: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In the center of Dubany, the sandstone cross dating from 1829 stands in the shade of large trees.

Culture and Remembrance

The smaller monument to those who fell in the First World War is carved from sandstone and bears a granite plaque with the names of the victims. The monument to those who fell in the Second World War was erected by local residents in 1946.

Dubany’s historic fire station dates from the late 19th century and is located in the center of the village. Its roof structure includes a small bell tower; the original bell inside is still in use.

Nature and Village Scenery

The Dubanka stream runs through Dubany and rises at the foot of the Železné hory mountains. The parkland around the village green and the Dubanka includes a linden tree planted to commemorate freedom, with its planting dated to 1918.

The pond above Dubanský mlýn is used for fish farming and managed by the fishermen of the municipality of Dubany.

Tradition

The program of the traditional Posvícení festival in Dubany included a guided walk through the village in 2018.
