Úhřetická Lhota: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Úhřetická Lhota lies on a gentle slope on the right bank of the Novohradka. Below the village, the river flows into the Chrudimka; a natural meander of the Chrudimka forms part of the Úhřetická Lhota landscape area.

Nature

Along the Zmínka Canal lies a floodplain forest with rare plants. The river courses and the floodplain forest provide the landscape with several clearly recognisable natural reference points.

History and Villagescape

The first written mention of Úhřetická Lhota dates back to 1340. Typologically, the village belongs to the medieval linear Hufen villages. No wooden buildings have survived in this lowland setting; in the second half of the 19th century, they were gradually replaced by brick buildings.

The ownership history has also been documented: in 1560, Úhřetická Lhota came into the possession of the Bohemian Chamber. The Pernštejn family acquired Úhřetická Lhota and incorporated it into the Pardubice estate. The Thirty Years' War destroyed several buildings in Úhřetická Lhota.

The road bridge on Road 340 near Úhřetická Lhota is a take-out point on the Novohradka.
