Tatenice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In the center of Tatenice, the complex of the Church of St. John the Baptist forms a significant architectural element. In the church of Tatenice, the wooden side altar designed after a painting by Van Dyck is considered a unique work in the Czech Republic and probably also in all of Europe. The Chapel of Olivet in the complex contains a sculptural group depicting Christ and the Apostles; a monument to those who fell in the First World War stands in front of it.

In the wider surrounding region of Tatenice are Hrad Brníčko Castle and Nový Hrad Ruins.

Nature

Tatenice is surrounded by deep, predominantly mixed forests, fields, and meadows. The Hraniční potok stream flows through the village and joins the Moravská Sázava River.

Cukrová Bouda Mountain lies in the immediate vicinity of Tatenice. The surrounding area also includes Lazek Mountain, Zámecká hora Mountain, and Obora Mountain.

Cycling and Rail

The marked cycle route 4024 leads via Lázek and Strážná to Tatenice. In the village, cyclists can turn onto cycle path 4021 in the direction of Lanškroun. Tatenice is also located on an important railway line.
