Sádek: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Sádek lies in the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area. The terrain is hilly and crossed by several long valleys through which small streams flow.

Nature and Landscape

Librův Kopec hill is located in the vicinity of Sádek. The surrounding area also includes Kočíko hill, Drašarov hill and Na jedli hill.

Paths and Roads

Cycle Route 4022 runs through Sádek. Class II and Class III roads pass through the village. The Class II road is served by bus routes and has three stops.

Culture and History

The former Rychtář farmstead No. 33 has an enclosed quadrangular courtyard, a timber-framed upper floor and a freestanding masonry barn. Around the middle of the 16th century, the farmstead served as the seat of the Rychtář; it is the oldest masonry folk structure in the Poličsko region.

The original evangelical cemetery in Sádek was established in 1783 following the promulgation of the Patent of Toleration in 1781. It is protected by the heritage authority; only the stone enclosing wall has survived.

The Church of the Most Holy Trinity in Sádek is an enclosed early Baroque rural church complex dating from 1710–1713, an important monument in the Poličsko region and a landmark of the municipality. Services are held in the parish church on Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:00 p.m., on Saturdays at 8:00 a.m. and on Sundays at 8:30 a.m.
