Culture and History
The Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is a landmark of the village of Koruna.
In the vicinity of Koruna, within the cadastral area of Třebařov, there are visible remains of the Gothic Koruna Panny Marie Augustinian monastery. The monastery was founded in 1267 and ceased to exist in 1552.
The former Koruna Panny Marie monastery became a pilgrimage site in the vicinity of Koruna, visited by pilgrims from the wider surrounding area.
Traditional Event
In both 2024 and 2025, the traditional witch-burning event took place in Koruna on 26 April, featuring a bonfire, a witch effigy and mackerel.
