Třebařov: Holiday apartments and houses

In the lower part of Třebařov, the ruins of the former Koruna Panny Marie Monastery rise above the surrounding landscape.

Nature

The Nohavice Biocentre is a functioning wetland complex consisting of the Nohavice and Křtěný ponds, with near-natural conditions. Waterbirds, including herons, swans and coots, find a natural refuge there.

In the northern part of Třebařov, the Moravská Sázava flows through the municipality outside the built-up areas. The surroundings are hilly and wooded and are suitable for recreation and mushroom picking.

Culture

The construction history of the Church of the Holy Trinity dates back to the 18th century: a church was built in Třebařov in 1720; its later dedication was to the Holy Trinity. In 1769, the church was rebuilt and subsequently consecrated to the Holy Trinity. The church is located in the upper part of Třebařov. Its sacristy is a chapel dating from 1736 that originated from the original church. Catholic believers regularly gather there for services celebrated by the local parish priest, Father Karel Macků.

The sculpture group of the Holy Trinity dates from 1820 and stands on a high, richly decorated pedestal with reliefs of saints.

The monument to those who fell in the First World War in Třebařov is a rare example of sophisticated German memorial art in the region. It was designed by the architect O. Czepa.

The southern stone wayside shrine near Třebařov is decorated in its upper section with a relief of a cross with a ladder and what are probably mining tools. According to the inscription, Jakob Winkler from Malá Strana had the monument erected on 17 August 1673.

History

Boreš z Rýzmburka founded the Augustinian monastery of Maria Kron, also called Koruna Panny Marie, in Třebařov in 1267. The ruins preserve the monumental walls of a former Early Gothic single-nave church with fragments of Gothic window tracery and a wooden bell tower.

The grounds of the Koruna Panny Marie Monastery are freely accessible and offer visitors an information board with basic information about the monastery.

Getting around

The area around Třebařov is criss-crossed by cycle paths. Designated cycle route 4221 runs through the municipality, connecting Koruna Monastery, Tatenice Chateau, the Lanškroun ponds and the watershed between the Elbe and Danube.

ČD railway line No. 270 runs from Česká Třebová via Zábřeh na Moravě, Olomouc and Přerov; Krasíkov is located nearby as a stop.
