Suchá Lhota presents a cohesive village settlement: old farmhouses with pitched roofs shape the village, while the immediate surroundings consist predominantly of land used for agriculture. Smaller patches of woodland are found mainly in the valleys and along the edges of the cadastral area.

Villagescape and History

In the village centre, the Chapel of St Anne stands beside a small ornamental garden, a memorial to those who fell in the First World War and a crucifix. The chapel was probably built in 1888. During the festive season, it is ceremonially decorated and opened to everyone who wishes to reflect in peace and experience a contemplative atmosphere there.

The memorial to those who fell in the First World War, located beside the chapel, was created in 1920 from Hořice stone by the sculptor Fr. Vocha from Česká Třebová. It records the names and photographs of fallen and missing soldiers. The water tower, built in 1929, is a distinctive landmark of Suchá Lhota.
