Kamenicky: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Kameničky lies in the source region of the Chrudimka River and in the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area. This means that both the source of a river and a protected landscape form part of the geographical context of the locality.

Nature

Vojtěchův Kopec, also known as Volákův Kopec in the painting tradition, is 673 m high and is one of the highest locations in the Chrudimsko region. The purpose of the Volákův Kopec Nature Reserve is to protect a botanical locality and the occurrence of the black grouse.

Culture

The Baroque Church of the Holy Trinity in Kameničky was built between 1764 and 1766 on the site of an older wooden church. Next to the Church of the Holy Trinity in Kameničky is the Stations of the Cross, which was created in 2017 based on an architectural design by Tereza Šmídová; the artistic design was created by the artistic blacksmith Pavel Tasovský. Kameničky is also home to a statue of Saint John dating from 1723 and a statue of Saint Florian dating from 1779.

The Antonín Slavíček Gallery displays stage sets that Antonín Slavíček and Bohuslav Dvořák painted in 1904 for the local theatre association. Slavíčkův domek is the place where Antonín Slavíček stayed in Kameničky and created the famous painting “U nás v Kameničkách”. A commemorative plaque was unveiled at Slavíčkův domek on 18 June 1961. The Hospůdka U Adámků restaurant serves the local Rychtář beer brand.

Trails

The Vlastivědná stezka Krajem Chrudimky educational trail runs between Filipov and Lány via Kameničky. A branch leads from Kameničky to Volákův Kopec (Vojtěchův Kopec).
