Horní Třešňovec stretches through a valley north of the town of Lanškroun. The pilgrimage site with the Church of Mariánská Hora forms the boundary of Horní Třešňovec’s cadastral area. The church stands directly on the European watershed between the North Sea and the Black Sea.
Sacred sites
The pilgrimage church of Mariánská Hora contains a large Neo-Gothic Calvary side altar. The carpenter Jahn from Horní Třešňovec created it at the end of the 19th century.
In front of House No. 213 stands a stone Calvary group made of sandstone. The local Protestant prayer house dates from 1953–1954, while the local Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary dates from 1869–1870.
Culture and townscape
Horní Třešňovec is home to a fire brigade museum in House No. 91. Farmhouse No. 105 is one of the notable examples of rural architecture and has a preserved granary. Former sandstone quarries are located west of Horní Třešňovec.
A signposted local cycle route runs along the western edge of Horní Třešňovec.
