Zálší: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Zálší combines historical landmarks with a landscape shaped by ponds. Protected cultural monuments, distinctive bodies of water and designated cycling routes create a multifaceted picture of the town and its surroundings.

Culture and history

The fruit-drying facility at house no. 12 in Zálší is a protected cultural monument. The Betlém watermill, a half-timbered watermill with a tripartite floor plan, lies by Lačnov Pond. It dates from around 1760 and is a Category II technical monument.

Ponds and landscape

Lačnov Pond lies west of Zálší and covers 15.72 hectares. At 55.91 hectares, Velký Zálešský rybník is considerably larger. The Zálešské rybníky ponds between Zálší and Vračovice form an important fish-farming and ornithological locality.

Cycling routes through the pond landscape

European cycling route 182 from Moravská Třebová to Choceň passes through Zálší. The “Krajinou rybníků” route includes the 2.6-kilometre section Zálší–Nořín–Podrážek. The “Krajinou rybníků” cycling tour also includes the 7.7-kilometre section Sloupnice–Chotěšiny–Vračovice–Zálší; this is designated as cycling route 182.

Řetová Mountain lies in the vicinity of Zálší. Jarošov Mountain is located in the wider regional surroundings of Zálší. The nearby hills include Chlum [Choceň] and K Orlovu [Tisová u Vysokého Mýta].
