Holetín: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

A historic road ran through Horní Holetín, connecting eastern Bohemia with Moravia; records from the years 1144, 1242, and 1329 document this connection.

Culture and events

The Chapel of St. John the Baptist was built in 1891–1892 and solemnly consecrated on June 25, 1893. Masses are held in the chapel on the first Sunday of every month.

The Kulturní centrum Holetín served as the venue for the third edition of the “Maškarní tancovačka,” which took place on March 21, 2026, from 8:00 p.m.

Activities in the area

The Holetín sports complex has a football pitch with changing rooms and showers. It also features an uncovered outdoor pool with natural water, measuring 25 × 12.5 m.

Marked cycle route 18 of supraregional importance runs through the municipality of Holetín along the Hlinsko–Holetín–Raná–Skuteč route. Every summer, the municipality of Holetín organizes children’s events, including Holetínský Nebojsa.
