Gruna: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Gruna is home to Radkovské hradisko, a significant archaeological site located in the cadastral area of the municipality. Radkovské hradisko is also a medieval fortified hilltop settlement. It is over 200 metres long and 70 metres wide; the outer bailey was protected by a 60-metre-long shield wall measuring 280 centimetres in thickness. Gruna is connected to the surrounding municipalities by bus services.

The wider regional area around Gruna is home to Hrad Brníčko, a castle, the Pomník obětem 1. a 2. světové války memorial, as well as the Kaple Panny Marie Lurdské and Kaple Panny Marie churches. Another special feature can be found in Žipotín, a district of Gruna: the Chapel of the Virgin Mary is built of masonry and roofed with slate.

Landscape and Nature

The Grunský potok stream flows through Gruna from north to south. The Husák mountain is located nearby. The mountains Roh, Skalka and Cukrová Bouda are also located in the vicinity of Gruna.

The wider regional area around Gruna includes the Bohdalov area, with near-natural dry grasslands and shrub complexes on calcareous soil, extensively mown lowland to foothill meadows, and beech forests. The area belongs to the Bohdalov–Hartínkov Nature Park.

At Farma na Rychtě in Gruna, the permanent sales outlet is closed. Ordered products can be collected directly from the farm by prior arrangement.
