Slatinice: Holiday apartments and houses

At the foot of Velký Kosíř lies Lázně Slatinice. The spa has a tradition dating back several centuries and is considered the oldest spa in Moravia. Its natural mineralised healing water springs contain sulphur compounds and are used for baths, packs and drinking cures.

Spa and nature

Numerous trails for pedestrians and cyclists run through Slatinice and its surroundings, leading primarily to Velký Kosíř Nature Park. From Slatinice, the summit of Velký Kosíř is less than 5 km away via a yellow-marked hiking trail; a recently built wooden lookout tower stands at its summit.

History and culture

The Muzeum veteránů Slatinice displays a collection of old automobiles and motorcycles covering 400 m², mostly from the 1930s, as well as numerous contemporary artefacts. Fourteen chapels of the Stations of the Cross stand around the church in Slatinice. They date from the construction period of the present church and rectory, from 1769 to 1775. The traditional Slatinice hody festival takes place every year in mid-August.
