Dub Nad Moravou: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Church of the Purification of the Virgin Mary is a traditional pilgrimage site in Dub nad Moravou. The traditional Dubská pilgrimage takes place every year on the first Sunday in September. During the annual pilgrimages, solemn pilgrimage masses are celebrated in the church in the presence of the Archbishop of Olomouc; the local church choir accompanies the solemn pilgrimage masses.

Culture

The square in Dub nad Moravou is home to the sculpture group of Saint Florian, a Czech cultural monument. The statue of Saint Joseph stands on the road to Olomouc. A large statue of Saint John of Nepomuk can also be viewed near the pilgrimage church.

A testimony to the town's history has also been preserved: A cannonball from the 1866 battle is embedded in the plaster of the parish house in Dub nad Moravou.

Tradition

The Chapel of Saint Margaret is a Baroque building erected over a spring. According to local religious tradition, the water from the spring beneath the Chapel of Saint Margaret is believed to have healing properties.

Geographical Setting

The Moravská stezka runs through Dub nad Moravou and invites visitors to stop there at the monumental Church of the Purification of the Virgin Mary. The construction of a single section of the regionally significant Moravská stezka in the cadastral area of Dub nad Moravou between Charváty and the Bolelouc district is the subject of a project.
