Cycling and Hiking

Cycling route 6229 runs through Písařov along the Cotkytle–Jedlí–Písařov–Čečel route. It follows a forest path towards Písařov and continues from there along a third-class road. Frequent ascents and descents, as well as varied scenery, characterize the route; it is suitable for more experienced cyclists.

The marked KČT hiking trail 4877/592b also passes through Písařov.

Landscape

At 839 m above sea level, Čečel is the highest point in the cadastral area of Písařov.

Culture and History

Farmstead No. 104 in Písařov is protected as a cultural monument. The Roman Catholic Church of the Sending of the Holy Apostles dates from 1785.

The local museum is located in the Písařov municipal office and is open from Monday to Friday. The school museum exhibition has been restored in the municipal office building.

The largest partisan bunker in Písařov provided space for 30 people and was destroyed by the Nazis after a firefight on 24 May 1944. The partisan bunker of the “Balalajka” group provided space for 8–10 people, was never discovered by the fascists and was restored in 1975.
