Bělkovice-Lašťany: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Bělkovice-Lašťany combines historic chapels and monuments, the Koupaliště with several sports facilities, a cycle path to Dolany and the nearby Bělkovické údolí. The character of the place can be seen in specific details: from the small bell tower above the pond to disc golf courses and regional products at an autumn market.
Culture and local history
In Lašťany stands a statue of Jan Žižka, which was renovated in 2017. The pond is also home to the monument to Jan Žižka of Trocnov, which was ceremonially unveiled on 29 June 1924.
Several chapels add to this local character. The Chapel of Panny Marie Čenstochovské on the road to Dolany dates from 1710 and was completely reconstructed in 2017. The Chapel of Panny Marie Lurdské dates from 1820; above its entrance is a 30 cm-high porcelain figure of the Virgin Mary. The Chapel of St. Florian, dating from 1802, stands by the pond. Its roof is topped by a small bell tower with a bell.
Water and exercise
Koupaliště Bělkovice-Lašťany has a children's pool measuring 19.5 m × 7.5 m and a large swimming pool measuring 50 m × 20 m. The grounds also include two artificial-turf courts for small-sided football, nohejbal and tennis. There is a reservation system for small-sided football on the artificial-turf court in Bělkovice-Lašťany.
Behind the sports field is a fitness trail with nine exercise stations. DG Bělkovice is also one of the local leisure facilities: it can be used free of charge; the course has six disc golf holes and is rated as “easy”.
Cycle path and nearby surroundings
In 2019, the dedicated road and cycle path from Bělkovice-Lašťany to Dolany were completed. The new cycle path to Dolany allows tourists to travel without conflict with public transport.
The Bělkovické údolí is located nearby and is considered a recreational area with beautiful nature.
Traditional customs
The old custom of the Ježíškovy matičky procession has been passed down in Bělkovice-Lašťany since around 1848. It welcomed spring and celebrated the resurrection of Christ. The custom takes place separately in the Lašťany and Bělkovice districts.
Since 2018, it has been listed under the name “Velikonoční slavnosti Matiček a Ježíškových Matiček na Hané Olomoucký kraj” in the List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Traditional Folk Culture of the Czech Republic.
Regional products
At the autumn markets held on 18 September 2022 at the swimming pool in Lašťany, regional food products and local confectionery were offered.
