In summer, Lázeňský vrch offers a practice golf area and a kick-scooter rental service with tips for excursions. The Lipovské stezky also showcase different aspects of the landscape: they include two blue trails and one black trail. Two additional trails can be reached via a signposted transfer and the climb to the nearby Toč mountain.

Active pursuits

Compared with the Rychlebské stezky, the Lipovské stezky are less demanding and are therefore suitable for families with children and for beginners. The Naučná stezka Johanna Schrotha offers a historical perspective. The educational trail is 8.5 kilometres long and leads past ten stations, where the history of the surrounding area is the main focus.

Nature

The Jeskyně Na Pomezí offer a visitor route more than half a kilometre long. The named cave chambers include Ledový dóm, Bílý dóm, U Smuteční vrby, Římské lázně, Klenotnice and Královský komín; along the way, visitors can see dripstone formations, cascades and small lakes. The Jeskyně Na Pomezí are closed to visitors from 18 May 2026 until the end of 2026.

The Faunapark in Horní Lipová is home to, among other animals, pumas, a Ussuri tiger, kangaroos, meerkats, several species of parrots, alpacas, llamas, an ostrich and turtles, as well as other animals. The small zoo can be reached by car via road II/369; free parking spaces are available there. By train, get off at Lipová-lázně station.

Culture and History

Water was brought to Emperor Joseph II at the Pramen Císaře Josefa II. in Horní Lipová during his visit on 1 September 1779. A memorial pillar erected there commemorates this event. Above the spring, near the Dívčí skály, a restored chapel offers views of the ridge of the Jeseníky Mountains.

The Muzeum Johanna Schrotha presents the development of spa treatment and the history of Lipová-lázně. Horní Lipová is also home to a church built as a single-nave structure in a simple Neoclassical style. It has a massive tower and a rectangular, closed presbytery and remains a prominent landmark of Horní Lipová to this day. It was solemnly consecrated on 2 November 1788.
