Černá Voda: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Rychlebské stezky mountain bike trails start and finish in Černá Voda at the car park in front of the cultural centre by the church. The seasonal Rychlebské stezky information centre offers trail maps, bicycle and equipment rental, a Merida test centre and a service area.

Landscape and Nature

The Sokolí vrch massif, which forms the main panorama of Černá Voda, features granite boulders, rocky peaks, flooded quarries and deep beech forests. Venušiny misky, a national nature monument protecting a characteristic granite formation, is located in the vicinity of Černá Voda. The viewpoint can be reached from Černá Voda via a green-marked hiking trail of approximately 4 km.

You can reach the Rampa quarry by leaving Černá Voda in the direction of Žulová, turning left and driving past the food shop.

Culture and History

The ruins of Kaltenštejn Castle are located immediately south of Černá Voda in the surrounding area, with well-preserved remains of buildings, fortifications and a tower.

The Church of the Name of the Virgin Mary is a protected monument and has an enclosing wall as well as statues of Saint John the Evangelist and Our Lady of Sorrows. It was built in 1787–1788 and became a parish church in 1843.

The late Renaissance château in Černá Voda still stands with its chapel; it is not currently open to the public. The Chapel of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is located on the road to the settlement of Rokliny and dates from around the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries.

The educational trail “An Educational Trail Not Only for People with Disabilities near Černá Voda” is suitable for wheelchair users and parents with pushchairs. At Ranch V Podhradí, visitors can take part in training with Western horses.
