Sedliště combines distinctive wooden architecture with a viewpoint overlooking the Ostrava area. Bezručova vyhlídka is located at the summit of Černá zem hill at 374 m above sea level and offers views of the Ostrava area.

Wooden Church and Local History

The wooden Church of All Saints in Sedliště was built in 1638 on the site of an older wooden church dating from 1447. It is one of the best-preserved and oldest wooden churches in the Těšín region. The church is surrounded by a covered gallery known as a “sobota”.

The exterior of the Church of All Saints is accessible year-round. The interior can be visited outside liturgical services as part of the “Otevřené chrámy” project from June to October.

The Muzeum Lašská jizba offers another insight into the local history. It features an ethnographic and historical exhibition on the history of Sedliště and local associations. The museum also includes a historical library focusing on Laško culture. The “Osvobozené půdě” memorial was unveiled on September 4, 1932.
