Písek U Jablunkova: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Several cycling routes pass through Písek u Jablunkova. Cycling Route 56 Bukovec–Bohumín runs through Písek and is part of the Krakow–Moravia–Vienna Greenway there. Cycling Route 10 Olše leads from Bukovec via Písek to Chotěbuz; in the centre of Písek, Cycling Route 6086 crosses Cycling Route 56. The educational cycling trail “In the Footsteps of the Metallurgy Industry” runs along the Polish border to Nýdek, continues over the ridges of the eastern Těšín Beskids with beautiful views, and reaches Písek.

Bus route 783 connects Třinec, Jablunkov, Písečná, Písek and Bukovec.

Nature

Plenisko is a nature reserve in the cadastral area of Písek u Jablunkova. The area contains numerous waterlogged sites and the headwaters of the Bystrý stream. Under a regulation from 1998, the nature reserve protects natural, primeval-forest-like stands containing a gene pool of autochthonous firs, beeches, spruces and sycamore maples.

The northeastern part of Písek lies within the Silesian Beskids Landscape Area, which is characterised by the predominance of mountains and forests, distant views and a high aesthetic quality of the landscape.

The Olše river corridor near Písek is a Site of Community Importance in the Natura 2000 network. The section of the Olše in the Písek area has predominantly a stony to gravelly riverbed with frequent gravel deposits and a largely unmodified riverbed.

Culture and Language

The new church of the Evangelical congregation in Písek u Jablunkova was completed in 2010 and is considered architecturally very interesting. Písek u Jablunkova is associated with a local Goral dialect.

The branch church in Písek is a simple building with a sacristy and rooms for congregation members. The tower is made of concrete and carries a bell; the branch church was solemnly consecrated on 24 September 1995.
