Nýdek: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Rytířská educational trail begins in Nýdek, at the village square. The educational trail is almost 10 km long and has a station near the Čantoryje Nature Reserve. The Čantoryje National Nature Reserve covers an area of 40 ha and lies within the municipality of Nýdek. The Čantoryje lookout tower is located on the state border between the Czech Republic and Poland.

Landscape

Velká Čantoryje reaches an altitude of 995 m and, at 995 m, is the highest point in the municipality of Nýdek. Cycling options in Nýdek include cycle route no. 6086 and Radegast Trojmezí.

Culture and History

Dřeviónka is a replica of an original farmstead and houses a small museum documenting local life at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Dřeviónka also features a permanent exhibition on Nýdek’s industrial history. The Church of Saint Nicholas in Nýdek dates back to 1576.

Local Life

The traditional Krmáš festival takes place every year in October. BIERFEST takes place on Nýdek’s square every third Saturday in July. At BIERFEST, visitors can sample around ten types of beer and numerous local specialties.
