Hiking and Trails

The tourist route from Dobratice to Prašivá runs mainly along paved paths and is therefore also suitable for cycling tours. A red-marked hiking trail to the 706-metre-high summit of Malá Prašivá also passes through Dobratice.

The “Putování Dobraticemi” route is an easy 6 km trail that leads to the red-marked hiking route towards Prašivá. In the opposite direction, the red hiking trail leads from Dobratice to the Žermanice Reservoir, where swimming and water sports are possible. On Prašivá stands the Church of St Anthony of Padua, dating from 1640.

Nature

Dobratice Forest Park offers numerous wooden play features, an educational trail for children, an outdoor fitness area, a barefoot or sensory trail, and a disc golf course. The forest park also has benches and wooden animal-shaped decorations.

The Prašivá educational trail passes through the municipalities of Vyšní Lhoty, Raškovice, Pražmo, Morávka, Komorní Lhotka, Hnojník, Dobratice, Vojkovice, Horní Domaslavice, Nižní Lhoty and Nošovice. Along the educational trail, information boards in each municipality it passes through provide information about local conditions, historical facts, notable figures, and historical and natural attractions.

History and Culture

The first written mention of Dobratice dates from 1580. An independent parish was established in Dobratice in 1868. Finds of pottery in the Šprochovice district indicate that Dobratice was established around 1512.

The wooden bell tower in Dobratice was built by local residents at the beginning of the 20th century. It stands on the tourist route towards Prašivá and serves as a resting and stopping point for locals and visitors.

The Church of St Philip and St James was consecrated in 1865 and is considered the most notable historical attraction in Dobratice.

In a former cowshed in Dobratice, a manufacturer of decorative candles runs a shop that visitors can visit.

Parking is available below the Church of St Philip and St James for the “Putování Dobraticemi” route; by bus, you can get off at the Dobratice, Restaurant Na Šenku stop.
