Nové Sedlice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Nové Sedlice lies at the foot of the Polomská vrchovina in the south and borders the Opava Lowland to the northwest.

Culture and History

A cross dating from 1915 next to the Chapel of the Most Holy Trinity commemorates František Tížek, who fell in the First World War. Another notable building is the former schoolhouse in Nové Sedlice: built in 1924, it is a beautifully restored Art Nouveau building that now houses the kindergarten, the municipal cultural centre and the library.

Walking Trails and Cycling Routes

A marked hiking trail runs through Nové Sedlice towards the Přerovec water reservoir. A red- and a blue-marked hiking route also run along Hlavní Street; the footpaths are used by visitors as well.

Several cycling routes also pass through the cadastral area of Nové Sedlice. These include the regional Opava–Radegast Beer Cycling Route. Local cycling route 6199 runs through the cadastral area from north to south, towards Přerovec and Hrabyně, and continues from Nové Sedlice to Štítina. Cycling route 6055 reaches Nové Sedlice from Raduň after a 4-kilometre stretch across meadows and between small patches of woodland.

Recreation and Getting There

In Nové Sedlice, the Areál Soudržnosti serves as a place for everyday recreation and includes a football pitch. Within the IDS, Nové Sedlice is connected by the Opava–Komárov–Nové Sedlice–Štítina–Kravaře–Ostrava bus route.
